The Hetu (河圖), or River Diagram, is an ancient Chinese cosmological symbol. It is regarded as the "Map of the Universe", a visual code of natural law and energetic harmony.

Composed of black and white dots arranged in a specific numerical pattern (1–10), the Hetu illustrates the dynamic balance of Yin and Yang, as well as the interplay of the Five Elements: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.

Hetu is often paired with the Luoshu (洛書), which forms the foundation of feng shui, Yijing (易經), and traditional Chinese metaphysics.
